Privacy policy

In short

We only process the data you send us through the contact form, and we use it to reply to you. We do not use tracking or analytics cookies, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who is responsible

We follow Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law (Ley N.º 29733) and, where applicable, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we process

  • If you write to us through the form, your name, email address, subject and message. Along with the message we also receive the IP address and browser type it was sent from, so we can detect abuse.
  • If you just visit the site, the server that hosts it records technical data about each visit, such as the IP address, the page requested and the time. This is needed to keep the site running and secure, and we do not use it to identify you or to build profiles.
  • If you email us directly, we process the data included in your message.

What we use it for

  • To answer your inquiry and continue any conversation you start with us. The basis is your consent, which you give by sending the form.
  • To send you an automatic confirmation that we have received your message.
  • To protect the form against spam and abuse. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it or share it with third parties for commercial purposes, and we do not send newsletters.

Who else is involved

To run the site we rely on service providers that process data on our behalf and only for that purpose.

  • Vercel hosts the site and records the technical data of visits.
  • Resend delivers form messages to our inbox and sends you the confirmation.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks, on the Contact page, that the form is being sent by a person and not by an automated program.
  • Upstash counts, for one hour, the messages coming from each IP address, to limit spam.

Your messages then reach our email inbox, where we read and answer them.

Transfers outside Peru

Some of these providers are based in the United States or process data in other countries. They are contractually bound to protect the data, for example through the European Union’s standard contractual clauses, and they only receive what they need to provide their service.

How long we keep it

  • Form messages, for as long as we need to answer you and follow up on the conversation. After that we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • The count of messages per IP address, one hour.
  • Technical server logs, for a short period set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, or object to us processing it. You can also withdraw your consent, without affecting anything we did before. Write to us at info@renacer-peru.org and we will reply within the time limits set by law.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Peru, this is the National Authority for Personal Data Protection (Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales). If you live in Switzerland, it is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and if you live in the European Union, the authority in your country.

Cookies and storage in your browser

This site does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. That is why we do not show you a cookie notice.

The only thing we store in your browser is your accessibility panel settings, if you choose to use it. They stay on your device, are never sent to a server, and you can delete them from your browser. On the Contact page, the Cloudflare Turnstile check may store technical data that is strictly needed to confirm you are a person.

Changes to this policy

If we change the way we process your data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
