Accessibility statement

Updated September 25, 2026

Our commitment

We train people with disabilities so they can gain independence. It follows that anyone should be able to use this site without barriers, with or without assistive technology.

Our reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the most widely used international standard.

Compliance status

This site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We designed and built it following these guidelines, but we have not yet finished evaluating every page. Once we have, we will update this statement with the results.

What you will find on the site

  • Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus on every link and button.
  • A link at the top of each page to skip straight to the content.
  • Well-structured headings, lists and regions, so screen readers can move through each page.
  • Alternative text describing the photos that carry content.
  • Colors chosen so that text is comfortable to read.
  • Three languages, Spanish, German and English, with the language of each page identified for assistive technology.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the site respects that setting.

Accessibility panel

Use the Accessibility button in the header to adjust the site to suit you.

  • High contrast.
  • Underlined links.
  • Four text sizes.
  • No animations.

Your settings are stored only in your browser, so they stay in place when you come back. They are never sent to a server.

Known limitations

  • The maps on the site are images. The regions and districts where we work are also written out on the For partners page.
  • Documents we send by email, such as PDFs, may not be fully accessible. If you need another format, just ask and we will prepare it for you.
  • Some content relies on external services, such as the ena! Schweiz website or the spam check on the contact form. Their accessibility is outside our control, but if they create a barrier for you, let us know and we will find another way.

How we evaluated the site

We carried out our own evaluation during development, checking keyboard navigation, contrast and page structure on computers and mobile devices. We will review this statement at least once a year and whenever the site changes significantly.

Report a barrier

If anything on the site keeps you from reading, navigating or getting in touch, tell us. Write to info@renacer-peru.org with the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser or assistive technology you use.

We will confirm that we have received your message and let you know when we expect to fix the problem. In the meantime, we will get you the information you need another way.
